Lucknow: The monthly meeting of the Uttar Pradesh Police Pensioners’ Welfare Institution, Lucknow District Unit, was held today under the chairmanship of R.K. Chaturvedi, retired Inspector General of Police and President of the institution’s Lucknow unit. Around 30 pensioners and members attended the meeting.
The meeting saw discussion of various issues and pending cases concerning pensioners, and necessary instructions were issued to the concerned officials to ensure their prompt resolution.
Key points discussed:

- Retired Company Commander Chandrabhan Singh submitted an application regarding a deduction being made from his pension. The President took up the matter with the Deputy Commandant and directed that a semi-official letter be sent to the Commandant, 27th Battalion PAC, Sitapur, regarding the case.
- A clerk from the Lucknow Commissionerate informed the meeting that 1,481 files related to medical reimbursement are currently pending, of which 1,445 have already been forwarded to the Medical Superintendent of Police Lines/Balrampur Hospital and the Chief Medical Officer. The President spoke with the concerned officials and requested prompt disposal of these cases, and also directed that a bifurcation of the pending files be prepared and provided.
- Regarding the malfunctioning air conditioner in the President’s chamber, instructions were given for a letter to be sent to the DCP (Headquarters), Lucknow Commissionerate.
As no further issues were raised by the pensioners present, the President declared the meeting concluded.
